The first ULAQ armed unmanned sea vehicle (SİDA), which will enter the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, started sea tests with domestic engines. Turkish defense industry company Meteksan Savunma participated in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aviation Fair (LIMA 2023), one of the largest defense fairs in the Asia-Pacific Region. The company published the image of the sea tests of ULAQ SİDA, which will be delivered under the contract signed with the Presidency of Defense Industries, for the first time at the fair. ULAQ SİDA, which was developed in cooperation with ARES Shipyard and will enter the inventory, has recently been launched. A domestic engine was used in ULAQ SİDA, which has expanded and lengthened compared to the first prototype. The propeller engine used in the prototype ULAQ was replaced by TÜMOSAN's domestic engine. Thus, ULAQ SİDA will be able to operate at high speed in shallow waters.
